Shivworks Grounded: In-Fight-Weapon-Access

8am-5pm

You will walk away more prepared for a real-world grounded event at the end of this one-day course.

We will focus on a simple grounded strategy to get back on your feet or access a weapon

All skills will be validated at the end of the day with an evolution. A force-on-force scenario to ensure no one walks away wondering if this stuff works.

Develop:

Basic attachments - to gain or deny access to the inside position

How to stabilize the ground fight in a weapons-based environment

How to resolve a ground fight with or without weapons

Plan A: Get back to your feet.

Plan B: Access a weapon.

Or something in-between

Brian Frias will be the instructor for this training event. Brian is the training manager and number 2 guy at Shivworks. Brian has more than 2,000 hours under the direct supervision and mentorship of Craig Douglas. Brian has been traveling and instructing courses with Craig for 3 years. During open and closed courses, he has presented material nationwide to multiple SOF units, DOD agencies, and Law agencies. Brian Frias was a San Diego cop for 8 years, spending time on SWAT and other specialized units. He trained BJJ for 10 years at ATOS HQ, with three of those years being full-time (3 sessions a day, 6 days a week). Brian received his black belt and his first degree from Andre Galvao. Brian also spent 14 years in the Marine Corps (6 active, 8 reserve) as a drone operator and martial arts instructor.

 A Shivworks course is a significant investment of time and money, not only for the participant but also for the hosts and the instructors. Courses fill up quickly, and unexpected cancellations greatly strain our niche, bespoke program. Therefore, we have a strict refund policy for every course. If you have enrolled in a class and are unable to attend, please contact us immediately.

More than 30 Days Before Class

If a student cancels more than 30 days before a class, that student’s tuition will be refunded in full.

30 Days Before Class

If a student cancels anywhere between eight and thirty days before class, that student’s tuition is not refundable. However, the tuition can be applied to another Shivworks class. This tuition credit must be used within 18 months of the original class date, or it is forfeited.

10 days Before Class

If a student cancels 10 days (or less) before a class, that student’s tuition in forfeited and cannot be applied to any other class.

Shivworks Cancellations: If we have to cancel a class for any reason, all students enrolled in that class will receive full refunds.
