Shivworks development day: In-Fight-Weapon-Access

During this one-day event, you will develop a base of and strategy for using wrestling to stabilize and resolve the clinch with the goal of achieving in-fight weapon access (IFWA). you will focus on the physical details required to win during an entangled assault while armed.

Develop:

Operating system based on pressure, posture, and position

Four basic attachments - to gain or deny access to the inside position

How to stabilize the clinch - in a weapons-based environment

How to resolve the clinch -

Plan A: escape safely.

Plan B: use tie-ups.

Brian Frias will be the instructor for this training event. Brian is the training manager and number 2 guy at Shivworks. Brian has more than 1,000 hours under the direct supervision and mentorship of Craig Douglas. Brian has been traveling and instructing courses with Craig for 2 years. He has presented material nationwide to multiple SOF units, DOD agencies, and Law agencies during open and closed courses. Brian Frias was a San Diego cop for 8 years spending time on SWAT and other specialized units. He trained BJJ for 10 years at ATOS HQ with three of those years being full time (3 sessions a day, 6 days a week). Brian received his black belt and his first degree from Andre Galvao. Brian also spent 14 years in the Marine Corps (6 active, 8 reserve) as a drone (various platforms, nothing super cool),

Courses fill fast, and unexpected cancellations greatly strain our niche bespoke program. Therefore, we have a strict refund policy for every course. If you have enrolled in a class and later cannot make it, please contact us immediately.

More than 30 Days Before Class

If a student cancels more than 30 days before a class, that student’s tuition will be refunded in full.

30 Days Before Class

If a student cancels anywhere between eight and thirty days before class, that student’s tuition is not refundable. However, the tuition can be applied to another Shivworks class. This tuition credit must be used within 18 months of the original class date, or it is forfeited.

One Week Before Class

If a student cancels seven days (or less) before a class, that student’s tuition in forfeited and cannot be applied to any other class.

Shivworks Cancellations If we have to cancel a class for any reason, all students enrolled in that class will receive full refunds.
